3D Printing with Water-Soluble Support Materials - PVA vs. Aquasys GP (3D Universe)
Переглядів 3,1 тис.9 місяців тому
In this video, we do a side-by-side test to compare two different water-soluble support materials for 3D printing. Most people with 3D printers capable of dual-extrusion are already familiar with PVA. Aquasys GP claims to offer advantages over PVA in terms of printability and water solubility. We're going to put those claims to the test. For more information, please visit shop3duniverse.com/col...

you missed the most important reason and no what you do recalibrate ect still shows error turns out if you print core had a failed print and is full of material around print head and when you pull it out you could break off one of the wire to the drop down cover which is the the level sensor this will need resoldering back

Awesome tutorial! Thanks for all the information. :) I'm tryring to make a logo on a box with thicker lines. The logo layer (on top side of the box) is 1mm thick and its part of the model, so I made a support blocker that covers only the logo but not the side of the box underneath. For this support blocker I set "Modify settings for overlaps" and via "select" button I added "horizontal expansion" and set that to 0.4. But when I slice the model, the logo is still without any changes. When I change the "horizontal expansion" for the whole model (standard way, not via "per model settings"), the logo gets thicker how I need it. In the basic form this logo contains some thin walls, so I need to have them a bit thicker, so they don't break off that easily and they will be better printed.

Wish there was more online about the xl. Just like he talked about, i am torn between the S7 and the method XL. We want to build up prototypes in a wide array of materials, but also want the precision and reliability and final product quality. That talk of set profiles to just run the abs cf out of the no hassle just slice and go makes me want the method. 😅 Theres pros and cons to each and neither meets all our needs. If i could afford both i would, but im not sure it makes sense when one could probably do the job till i could afford another. Im really leaning toward the s7 and getting the xl in another iteration or two when it's had time to mature.

There are lots of differences, but the primary difference is that this isn't a vacuum former. It's a pressure former. It allows you to capture much better detail and work with a much wider range of materials than a cheap vacuum former.
